Last weekend I went to Brussels for a bit of rest and relaxation. As a photographer, I like to take advantage of going to new locations by seeing the sites and getting some photographs that are hopefully worthy of publishing in my portfolio. I really enjoyed the trip and have to say that a weekend is the perfect length of time to see the main attractions. The metro is a really easy way to get around the city, especially if visit the Atomium.
If you like city breaks then Brussels has a lot to offer and has that European feel owing to the architecture and numerous cafés. Grand Place is the location of the iconic Town Hall that often features on post cards. There is always a buzz around Grand Place but when I was there it never felt over crowded, although I’m sure it is different when they have the floral carpet down!
Brussels also provides an excellent opportunities for night photography, which was one of the highlights of the final evening there. I’m still going through the images and so will gradually upload more photographs from the trip to the Brussels Gallery.
