The Ashley Walk in the New Forest is an area that was used in the Second World War as a bombing range. I’ve walked her a number of times and visited a number of times hoping for the right light. One of the more notable failed attempts include waiting in the car for a hour at 4am one morning in the hope of capturing sunrise only to be rewarded with a grey rainy morning. The second attempt a couple of weeks ago had me driving down the motor way to see the magnificent sunset fade to eventual darkness by the time I got into the forest. Thankfully both time and the lightly was on my side today.
