So the last few months have flown by and my visit to New York has finally arrived. I spend some time in the build up to this trip researching good photo spots and had some ideas of the scenes I wanted to capture. Brooklyn Bridge after sunset was probably top of the list.
Yesterday was Day 1 and I became fairly well acquainted with Brooklyn Bridge as I walked over it 4 times in total! My original plan was to explore Brooklyn and do some long exposures in the morning so that I would be familiar with the good spots when I returned another day to capture sunset.
During the afternoon I checked out Lower Manhattan, went to the One World Trade Center Observation Deck and the 9/11 Memorial. By the time I’d done that I realised it would be about 4 hours until sunset and the conditions felt right for a good one, so I headed back to Brooklyn. The sunset didn’t disappoint and I was able to capture these images of the sunset and the dusk period that followed from the Pebble Beach in Brooklyn.
